Peterman et al. preprint posted on bioRxiv!
Our preprint on the role of skin immune cells in axon debris removal after injury is now online at bioRxiv. Check out Eric’s tweet about the manuscript and his amazing video here:
We used adult zebrafish scales to develop ex vivo and in vivo models for studying axon degeneration in adult skin. We found keratinocytes play an insignificant role; rather, we found that Langerhans cells, a skin-resident immune cell, does the heavy lifting. Enjoy the movies! pic.twitter.com/6POAKk6EMJ
